the marriage record CAN BE USED for any legal matter in or out of state. You will
receive a certified copy of the Marriage License Application, as well as other
supporting documentation. Over the years, the information contained on a
marriage license application has changed. Traditionally, each applicant's full
name, age, residence, occupation and place of birth are contained on marriage
license applications. In addition, the name of each applicant's parents as well

PLAIN COPY of the marriage record can be used for personal and historical use only and
is NOT for official use. You will receive a copy of the Marriage License

An APOSTILLE copy of
the marriage record CAN BE USED for legal matters outside of the United States, such as
foreign adoptions. Apostilles are certified by the Pennsylvania Department
of State in Harrisburg. You will receive a certified copy of the marriage
license application, as well as other supporting documentation. Over the
years, the information contained on a marriage license application has changed.
